Family Therapy

Our family plays a crucial role in shaping who we are and who we become, impacting us in both positive and negative ways. We learn so much from our families—our vocabulary, habits, customs, and rituals, as well as how we perceive and interact with the world around us.  If you’re seeking to nurture healthier and closer family relationships, know that family therapy can offer a supportive environment to help you navigate these challenges. You’re not alone in this journey, and there is help available.

Common reasons for seeking family therapy include:

  • Divorce
  • Parent-child conflict
  • Sibling rivalry
  • Domestic violence
  • The unexpected or traumatic loss of a family member

Family therapy can be essential for addressing issues within the family and healing emotional wounds. If any of these scenarios resonate with your family, consider reaching out for family therapy. It can provide significant benefits on multiple levels.

Positive outcomes of family therapy include:

  •  Strategies for developing and maintaining boundaries
  • A strengthened sense of cohesion and communication among family members
  • Enhanced problem-solving through understanding family patterns and dynamics
  • Increased empathy and understanding, and reduced family conflict.

Research indicates that family therapy is especially beneficial for families dealing with substance abuse, eating disorders, and other behavioral challenges. When the entire family experiences growth, every member benefits.  If you would like to learn more about how we can help bring your family back together, please contact us today.
